Evolutions Division

The ranks of the Horizon management share a true appreciation for wood and the wonderful ways in which it can enrich our lives. This “love affair” with their interesting, dynamic and varied raw material created a natural segue to a fascination with wood in some of its more unique and treasured forms.

Horizon established the Evolutions Division as a way to branch out from traditional wood products and explore some of the other interesting dynamics wood develops. Specimens of highly specialized aberrations such as burls, figure and crotches make up the “Specialty Woods” section of the Evolutions Division. Artistic applications of some of wood’s more special figures can be found in the “Brennen Panels” section. For the serious wood enthusiast and investor, Evolutions presents museum quality specimens of rare and treasured petrified wood.
